Colorado Life Trak Program Colorado Life Trak is a statewide program designed to offer peace of mind to families who have loved ones who suffer from mental disorders that may cause them to wander off from their home, school, or other locations. Common conditions of participants may include Alzheimer's, Dementia, Down Syndrome, Autism, Prader-Willi or various brain injuries. Through this program, a transmitter bracelet with a unique frequency is placed on the participant. In the event the participant wanders away from his/her location and a search is started, Summit County Rescue Group and the Sheriff's Office personnel can use a receiver-tracking device set to the participant's personal frequency to assist in finding them. The average search/recovery time for a Colorado Life Trak (COLT) lost person is under 30 minutes. Application for participation in the Colorado Life Trak - Summit County program are available online at www.co.summit.co.us/ems and clicking on the "Community Outreach" tab and then click on "Colorado Life Trak" link or by calling Lin Denham at the Summit County Ambulance Service at 970-668-4187.
