Road and Bridge Asset Management

The Road and Bridge Department is responsible for the inventory, condition assessment, and maintenance of Summit County’s road network assets. These assets include Asphalt and Gravel Roads, Bridges, Signs, Guardrails, Culverts, and Curbs and Gutters.

Road network assets are spatially referenced with GPS and/or GIS technology. Asset information is collected during the condition assessment. Cartegraph asset management software tracks maintenance activities, serves as the rating system for road network assets, and is used for predicting future maintenance activities.
