We take safety very seriously!
Cash and checks accepted with drivers license and phone number. No credit or debit cards accepted.
Speed limits are posted for your safety and dust control. Please adhere to them at all times.
Be aware that landfill equipment has the right of way. At times they will run against traffic, especially during snow removal.
NO cell phone usage while on site. This is to ensure customers do not block the scale or dumping area while on the phone. Pay attention to equipment and other customers unloading.
It is very important to keep everyone safe. Children and pets are to be kept inside your vehicle at all times.
No smoking within 100 feet of the trash area.
No scavenging!
Routes within the landfill often change. Please read signage to follow the appropriate route to the trash and recycling areas.
User agrees to tip all loads as directed and ordered by waste facility personnel and to provide loads free of hazardous waste. Should hazardous waste be discovered or the loads not tipped as directed, the customer will assume all additional disposal costs incurred.
Wear gloves to protect your hands when loading at the work site and unloading at the landfill.
Cover your load with a tarp and then secure with straps, bungee cords or rope tied with firm knots.
Keep loads within the bed or trailer dimensions, and make sure there are no protruding objects.
Bring a broom or shovel to clean out the bottom of the trailer or truck bed.
Protect your feet, do not wear sandals at the landfill.
We do not accept vehicles for disposal. Please contact a salvage yard or make other arrangements.
Snowmobiles do not have titles, therefore in order for us to accept snowmobiles for disposal we must collect the registration. All fuels and oils must be drained from the machine.
Oil and antifreeze are no longer accepted at the recycling drop-off centers in both Breckenridge and Frisco. Oil, anitfreeze, and oil filters can be brought to the landfill M-F 7:00 - 3:30 pm. There is no fee at this time for residential users. Please call 970-468-9263 for information on oil and antifreeze disposal.
Upon disposal of the snowmobile please notify Parks & Recreation that the snowmobile has been disposed of.
Titles on tow trailers will be collected at the gatehouse.
Extra fees for tires apply.
Remember to notify Motor Vehicles that the trailer has been disposed of.
Mobile Homes are accepted from Summit County locations.

- In both cases, paperwork from the Summit County Treasurer must be provided prior to or at the time the manufactured home is brought to the landfill. The manufactured home will not be accepted without the proper paperwork. Please provide 24 hour notice before bringing the mobile home for disposal.
- Please also note that cooling units need certificates showing the Freon has been removed by EPA qualified equipment and technician. See our hazardous waste page.
