ParadeNow Accepting Applications for Patrol Deputy

The Summit County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for open patrol deputy positions.

Testing for these positions will be TBA at the Summit County Sheriff's Office in Breckenridge, CO.  Qualified candidates who are added to the testing roster will be informed by phone or email and should plan on spending the entire day at the Sheriff's Office.

Interested parties should download the
Deputy Application and either mail or email the application to the Sheriff's Office by the application deadline.

Additionally, qualified candidates should 
be one of the following:
  • Currently Colorado POST certified
  • Colorado POST certifiable within 2-months of the testing date
  • Currently hold out-of-state certification and able to obtain Colorado POST Provisional certification

Applicant Requirements

Thank you for considering employment with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. We continually accept applications. Please include the following with your application:
  • Any pertinent training certificates
  • Completed application/personal history questionnaire, including Authorization to Release Information (signed and notarized)
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of driver’s license
  • Copy of high school diploma or G.E.D.
