Colorado Master Gardener
Summit County Colorado Master Gardener Program
The Colorado Master Gardener Program offered by CSU Extension allows local gardening enthusiasts to learn more about home gardening and help their fellow gardeners in the community. The 10-week course, offered every other year in Summit County, offers comprehensive, research-based instruction in home gardening topics, delivered via distance education and presented by CSU Extension specialists.

Upon completion of training, Colorado Master Gardener trainees agree to contribute 50 hours of volunteer service toward home gardening education. A non-volunteer option is also available and is often chosen by professionals in the gardening industry as continuing education.

The Master Gardener program is not scheduled to be offered in 2015. For more information, call Dan Schroder at 970-668-4140, or learn about the statewide Colorado State University Extension Master Gardener Program.

Demonstration Garden
Summit County Master Gardeners have created several beautiful Plant Select® demonstration garden plots at the Sue Cruth Memorial Garden, located at the County Commons in Frisco.

Plant Select® is a cooperative program administered by Denver Botanic Gardens and Colorado State University in concert with horticulturists and nurseries throughout the Rocky Mountain region and beyond. The purpose of Plant Select® is to seek out, identify and distribute the very best plants for landscapes and gardens from the intermountain region to the high plains.

We welcome you to come check out the garden and get ideas for your own gardening projects. The County Commons is located at 37 Peak One Blvd. (County Road 1005), Frisco.
