We are pleased that you are interested in working for Summit County Government. Currently we are one of Summit County's largest employers. Full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions are available.

Training Specialist - RFT

Human Resources

POSITION DUTIES: Administer, organize, and conduct training and educational programs in connection with professional development, management and supervisory skills. Coordinate Wellness Program, WISE Committee and conduct employee orientation trainings. Determine development needs, maintain records on training activities and monitor effectiveness of programs. Design and develop courses and coordinate courses taught by outside trainers. Serve as backup to Human Resources Technician, completing HRIS data entry, other administrative tasks and special projects within Human Resources as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in related field, 1 – 3 years of closely related experience as an employee trainer; or an equivalent combination of both education and experience. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Individual must be self-directed, highly motivated and creative. Strong MS Office computer skills required.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $18.98/hr with excellent benefit package.

Finance Bookkeeper (RFT)

Finance Department

POSITION DUTIES: Responsible for accounts payable data entry, purchasing card administration and reconciliation, fixed assets and bank reconciliations. Assist in annual budget preparation and audit. Work closely with other County departments. Position required good communication and organizational skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: H.S. diploma, 2-3 years bookkeeping and administrative experience. Knowledge of governmental accounting is helpful.

STARTING SALARY: $15.42/hr. with excellent benefit package

POSITION DUTIES: Provide Emergency Medical Care and operate ambulance vehicles safely and effectively for 9-1-1 emergency response and inter-facility transports. Performs a variety of administrative and readiness tasks while not responding to emergencies.

Shifts are up to 24 hours in length. Shifts include nights, weekends and holidays. All personnel also required to attend mandatory staff meetings (monthly). Must work a minimum of 400 hours per calendar year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Currently certified Colorado EMT-Intermediate or National Registry EMT-Intermediate(1999 level) certification and current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate or equivalent. Candidates must obtain both Colorado and National Registry certifications within 6 months of hire. Current CPR certification at the Healthcare provider level and valid Colorado Drivers License with acceptable driving record. Acceptable Criminal history check also required.

POSITION PREFERS: 2 years experience as a EMT-Basic or Intermediate with an ambulance transport agency or clinical facility. Basic Trauma Life Support or equivalent, Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals certification and inter-facility transport experience. Basic Incident Command and Hazardous Materials Awareness. Residency within Summit County is encouraged

SALARY RANGE: Starting salary range is $16.20 per hour based on experience.
