BENEFIT SUMMARY

Summit County offers an excellent benefits package for all regular full-time and regular part-time employees.

The benefits include the following:

Insurance

  • Comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision Plan
  • Single, 2-party, family, domestic partner and common law marriage coverage available
  • County funded Wellness Reimbursement Account (WRA)

miCare Clinic

  • Established for county employees and their dependents enrolled on the medical benefit plan
  • Staffed by physicians, physician’s assistants, and registered nurse
  • Focus on preventative care and a strong personalized approach with little or no co-pay

Flexible Spending Accounts

  • Medical Flexible Spending Account
  • Childcare Flexible Spending Account

Paid Time Off

  • Vacation – employees accrue two weeks (80 hours)per year for the first three years
  • Sick – employees accrue 3.69 hours per pay period (8 hours per month)
  • Holidays – vary slightly each year

Retirement Plans

CRISP (County Retirement Income Security Program) is Summit County’s Social Security replacement program and a 401a

  • 100% employer funded for regular full-time and regular part-time employees
    Immediate eligibility, 4 year vesting, 50% at 6 months

CCOERA (Colorado County Officials and Employees Retirement Association)

  • Participation begins after 1 year; 6 year vesting schedule
  • Employer contributes 3%, employees contribute 3%

457 Deferred Compensation Plans

  • CCOERA 457 retirement plan; CCOERA Roth 457 option
  • ICMA 457 retirement plan
  • Pre-tax contribution

Other Insurance

  • Life insurance that totals 3x the employee’s annual salary
  • Dependent life for dependents enrolled on the County health plan
  • Accidental death & dismemberment
  • Short and long term disability insurance for qualifying employees
