1. How many copies of my appeal do I need to submit?

Only one copy is necessary. Please mail to P.O. Box 68, Breckenridge, CO 80424 or hand-deliver to our office located on the 3rd Floor of the Old COunty Courthouse, 208 E. Lincoln Ave., Breckenridge, CO 80424

2. What type of documentation do I submit with my appeal?

Please submit any documentation that you would like to be included in your hearing. If you have already submitted documentation to the Assessor's office, please make a note on your Notice of Determination form.
The referees will base their recommendations on testimony from you and the assessor's representative, as well as the documents submitted with the CBOE appeal form.

3. What if there are days I am unavailable or I can't make my scheduled hearing time?

If you know in advance of dates that you will be unavailable, you may make a scheduling request along with your appeal. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. However, we cannot guarantee your request will be granted. If you cannot attend the scheduled hearing, a decision will be made based on the documentation the assessors have, and any other information that you have submitted.

4. If I have already submitted a letter authorizing someone to be my agent at the Assessor's level, do I need to submit another authorization letter at the CBOE level?

As long as we have the letter on file, you do not need to submit another letter of authorization. Please indicate on your appeal that the letter authorizing your agent is on file.

5. Can I submit additional documentation after the 15th or at the hearing?

Due to time constraints, additional documents brought to the hearing may not be considered.
