The County Attorney’s Office cannot provide legal advice to the public. For legal assistance you may contact Legal Aid at (800) 521-6968.

2. Whom do I contact to discuss a traffic ticket, court date, district court case, etc.?

The Summit Combined Courts handles all court-related concerns. Their number is (970) 453-2272 or you can visit the Fifth Judicial District website.

Traffic tickets are processed by the municipality that issued the ticket. For example, if you received a traffic ticket from a Frisco police officer, you must contact the Town of Frisco for information regarding the incident.

3. I need a public defender. Whom do I contact?

You may contact the public defender at (970) 468-9363 or visit the Fifth Judicial District website.

4. I received a zoning violation notification. How can I resolve the issue?

Read the notification and contact the person or department that sent the letter. For more information regarding zoning codes and enforcement, please visit the Land Use and Development Codes webpage.

5. I would like to appeal my tax appeal decision by the County Board of Equalization. Whom do I contact?
