Wetlands Disturbance
Engineering is responsible for administering wetlands regulations in Summit County. When wetlands are determined to be jurisdictional by the Army Corps of Engineers, they will administer their own wetland disturbance permits in accordance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act.
Summit County requires wetland consultants who do work in the County to be on the Army Corps list of recognized consultants.
Contact Engineering to submit an application with the appropriate submittal requirements to the Engineering Department. The scope and type of Wetlands Disturbance Plan and submittal requirements depends on the proposed impacts.
More on wetlands go to the Environmental Protection Agency website.
