Development Review

The Planning Department receives applications for many different types of proposals. Upon receipt of these applications, transmittals are distributed to various referral agencies, including the Engineering Department. Responses are then returned to the Planning Department specifying requirements, typically driven by the Summit County Land Use and Development Code, the Grading and Excavation Manual, other applicable standards and guidelines, and standard locally accepted engineering practices.

The Engineering Department's responsibilities regarding Development Review include review of roadway design/ improvements, access, drainage, grading, water quality, wetlands and floodplain impacts/standards.
