Erosion Control

Summit County works with other agencies, including NWCCOG, to ensure that all soil erosion and associated sediment discharge is contained onsite.  It is incumbent upon any project manager to install and maintain appropriate Best Management Practices (BMP’s) in accordance with the approved erosion control plan and all State or Federal permits.

Erosion and Sediment Control Plan Requirements:

The identification of potential surface waters or wetlands affected by stormwater runoff

An accurate calculation of the disturbance area

Type and location of BMP’s

Details outlining installation and maintenance of BMP’s

Revegetation plan, including temporary stabilization methods where applicable

Description of methods for management of construction water (non-stormwater) discharges.
