Voting on the Keystone Parkway Public Improvement District question
Who can vote?
- A resident of the proposed District for not less than thirty days, who is registered to vote in Summit County
- The owner of taxable real or personal property situated within the boundaries of the proposed District , who is registered to vote in Colorado.
- A person who is obligated to pay taxes under a contract to purchase taxable property in the District, who is also registered to vote in Colorado
- The spouse of the owner of taxable real or personal property situated within the boundaries of the District, who is registered to vote in Colorado.
How do I vote?
- If you are registered to vote in the proposed District, you will vote as you normally do (Election Day, Early Vote or Mail-In Vote) and the Keystone Parkway Public Improvement District questions will be on your General Election Ballot.
- If you own property or are the spouse of a property owner in the District AND you are registered to vote in Colorado, you will fill out the Self Affirmation of Elector AND the Keystone PID Mail-In Ballot Application and return to Summit County Elections, P.O. Box 1538, Breckenridge, CO 80424 or Fax 970-453-3540 or email kathyn@co.summit.co.us . You may also vote at the polls on Election Day or at Early Voting.
- If you are a non-natural owner (e.g. corporations, LLC, and LLPs) of property, you must complete the Designation of Elector on Behalf of Non-Natural Person Property Owner – Keystone Parkway Public Improvement District and designate a person to act as an elector. The person named must be a registered voter in Colorado.
