Use this link Fee Schedule to determine the correct civil fees for your service. Fees are set by state statute and County Resolutions. Fees for governmental agencies may vary. Please contact our office for the appropriate fee. Any refund due will be noted on your Affidavit of Service or Non-Service along with a check. If you have two services for the same address, the mileage fee will only be charged once.
SERVICE OF PROCESS Attempted services of papers are based upon the information you provide. Use the link Civil Process Information Sheet and include all information that will assist us in successfully serving your papers. Received documents are processed and sent out for service as quickly as workload and staff resources allow with service generally made within one week of receipt. All documents are treated with due diligence. A Return of Service Affidavit(showing proof of service) or a Non-Service Affidavit (showing unable to complete service) will be returned to the person requesting the service and that paperwork must be recorded with the Combined Courts where the initial paperwork was issued. DECREE OF FORECLOSURE/WRIT OF EXECUTION/SHERIFF'S SALES When you have obtained your court order, please refer to Instructions for Initiating a Sheriff's Sale, for information concerning the forms and fees required. Documents related to a Sheriff's Sale will be accepted in electronic format. Once the electronic documents are received by our office, the documents will be printed and a paper file created and maintained. We will not save the documents in electronic format. Current Sheriff's Sales are published in the Summit County Journal for a period of five weeks on consecutive Fridays prior to the sale. The Notices of Sale are also available for view online at the Summit Daily News website at www.summitdaily.com by going to the "Legals" section.
