Summit Seniors appreciate and take advantage of the many outdoor opportunities available in beautiful Summit County and the surrounding areas. Activities may include hiking, biking, golfing, kayaking, and canoeing.  We also have a beautiful garden in front of the Community and Senior Center that flourishes under the TLC of senior volunteers.  Read this month's summer newsletter for the current activities and schedules by clicking on the News tab above.  Have fun exploring Colorado's high country with other active seniors.

A biking group especially for seniors, but not sponsored by the Senior Center, is the Summit Biking group.  Offering another opportunity for weekly rides, Summit Biking meets at 9:30 each Monday morning during the summer months June - September.  Each rider selects his/her own distance.  The rides are about two hours long and end with a potluck picnic.  Riders of all abilities are welcome.  You can obtain information about Summit Biking, including scheduled rides, by visiting the website at www.summitbiking.org .

SUMMIT SENIORS ROWING AND KAYAKING GROUP

We will meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from June to September at 7:30am at the Frisco Marina for rowing and kayaking on beautiful Lake Dillon followed by a light continental breakfast and great conversation.

If you have a kayak, canoe or rowing shell please bring it and be part of the group.

If you are a member of the Frisco Rowing Center Club, please reserve your rowing shell for the 7:30am session. Remember to mention you are member of the Summit Seniors to receive your discount on lessons and membership.
