The attached documents contain the proposed text for the new version of Summit County's Comprehensive Plan. The Countywide Comprehensive Plan is Summit County's overall guiding document, establishing policy for land use, growth, and a number of related issues.

To get a brief summary of the contents included in the Comprehensive Plan, refer to the Executive Summary document attached. For more detailed information, refer to the Introduction section of the Plan. The Plan also contains a Countywide Vision Statement, a Template for Future Master Plans, and a series of ten elements addressing a number of issues, including Land Use, Environment, Housing, etc. A definitions section is also included. Each of these Plan sections/elements is accessed by a separate heading button on this web page. The reader that has limited time to review the document may wish to focus on the Land Use Element to start (after reading the Executive Summary and/or Introduction), and then read other elements as time allows.
