Summit County’s Frisco Motor Vehicle Office to Close June 10th
Summit County, Colorado
As announced earlier this spring, as part of its continued efforts to reduce operating expenses and improve the efficiencies of County operations, Summit County’s Frisco Motor Vehicle Office will close on Friday, June 10. All services provided at the Frisco location will be relocated to the Summit County Courthouse (208 Lincoln) in Breckenridge. Motor Vehicle services will be open from 8:30 – 4:30 Monday through Friday at the Breckenridge location. Please note that the State of Colorado Drivers License office will remain in Frisco at its present location in the County Commons. We recognize that the closure in Frisco may result in an inconvenience for some of our residents. In an effort to minimize the impact to our customers, Motor Vehicle recently rolled out an on-line Motor Vehicle renewal option and continues to offer a mail-in renewal option. On-line renewals can be completed by visiting www.colorado.gov/renewplates. To renew your license plates on-line, you will need your license plate number, current insurance information, credit card or checking account information, and a valid email address. To complete a mail-in renewal, simply follow the instructions on the registration renewal reminder card that you receive, which will indicate the amount, due date, and other supporting documentation that may be required.
As a reminder – when registering your vehicle (as opposed to a renewal), you will need to visit the Motor Vehicle office and provide –
