To Register As A Contractor fill out the Form available to the left here on this page and:

1. This application will only be accepted in person, it may not be mailed or faxed in to our office.

2. Have your insurance agent send a CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE with Summit County as the CERTIFICATE HOLDER to Summit County Building Department, PO Box 5660, Frisco, CO 80443 or fax it to 970-668-4255. We require General Liability Insurance with a minimum coverage of $300,000.

3. Pay registration fee.  We do not accept credit cards. (fee details in registration form.)

4. List people on the last page of the application who are allowed to pull permits.  These names are company employees only. Name of person turning in this paperwork must be on the list.  This person must be an employee of the company, not the homeowner.

5.  Person turning in application for the contractor registration must present a photo I.D.

FOR PLUMBERS AND ELECTRICIANS:

1. Plumbers and electricians are required to show their Masters License and Contractors License from the State of Colorado.

FOR ALTERNATIVE ENERGY CONTRACTORS:

1. Alternative Energy Contractors are required to have and show their NABCEP certification.
