When parents have questions about their child's development, one way to answer those questions is through a process called evaluation or assessment. These terms refer to the process used to measure a child's development and progress, determine whether the child may be eligible for developmental supports and services, and to help determine what supports and services are needed. Information from an evaluation can help determine if your child is eligible for Early Intervention Colorado for Infants, Toddlers and Families, and help you to make decisions about next steps for your child and family.
Request an Evaluation or Assessment
A parent can request an evaluation or assessment based on any concern about a child's development by contacting Summit County School District Child Find service at (970) 668-4266. This is provided at no cost to you and should be provided within 45 days of when you first ask.
