Property Taxes

Property taxes may be paid online, via mail or in person at the Summit County Courthouse, 208 E. Lincoln Ave., Breckenridge. If you have a home mortgage, your mortgage lender will pay your property taxes through your escrow account.

Online Payments

To pay your property taxes online, visit our online payment portal. Property tax payments can be made through the online portal with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) or a checking account. Third party fees apply.

Property Tax Payment Archive

To verify remaining balance due, view transaction history and tax notices from 2009-current visit our property tax archive.

Electronic Property Tax Notices

To receive property tax notices via email, rather than through U.S. Mail, register through our online portal. If you sign up for electronic notices, you will no longer receive Summit County property tax notices via mail, regardless of whether you pay your property taxes or your mortgage company does.

Payments By Mail or In Person

To submit your property tax payment by mail, make checks payable to "Summit County Treasurer"

  • Pay by Mail (USPS): PO Box 289, Breckenridge CO 80424

Late Payments

When property tax payments are not submitted by the due date listed on the bill, a 1% interest charge accrues the day after the payment deadline. Unpaid taxes on real property are sold in October at our Tax Lien Sale. Contact the Treasurer's Office to obtain information to redeem tax lien.

Mailing Address Changes

Notify the Assessor's Office of an address change. It is the responsibility of the property owner to provide the Summit County Assessor's Office with any changes to mailing addresses for property tax notices.
